Over the years, numerous researchers and writers have drawn inspiration from the notion that Ancient Aliens may have played a role in shaping humanity. While this theory encounters skepticism from mainstream science, it is supported by a wealth of evidence discovered worldwide. The most compelling connection between the rise of civilization and extraterrestrial beings lies within the annals of history, often etched onto ancient manuscripts and clay tablets that have withstood the test of millennia.
While these historical texts are intriguing, they are not the only pieces of evidence. Across the globe, countless artifacts depict figures bearing a striking resemblance to modern-day astronauts. Speaking of astronauts, Al Worden, a distinguished member of NASA's Apollo 15 mission, offered intriguing perspectives on extraterrestrial life. Worden postulated that humans might trace their lineage back to ancient aliens.
The former Apollo 15 astronaut contended that aliens were real entities who had visited Earth in the distant past and contributed to the formation of our civilization. He pointed to Sumerian literature as compelling evidence, suggesting that humans might, in fact, be the aliens themselves, misinterpreting their own origins. Worden emphasized that one need only peruse ancient Sumerian texts to uncover these astonishing revelations. Regrettably, Al Worden passed away on March 18, 2020, but his belief in the ancient Sumerian scriptures endured. These texts describe a world where humans coexisted with gods, serving as their subjects. In the ancient Sumerian belief system, each town had its guardian deity. The earliest recorded Sumerian creation legend, found on a cuneiform tablet in Nippur, Mesopotamia in 1893, tells of god-like beings who arrived on Earth and made it habitable through mining and labor. It also recounts a rebellion by the gods against their toiling laborers.
Before humans, the Anunnaki, a group of deities revered by the Sumerians, Akkadians, Assyrians, and Babylonians, employed the Igigi (sometimes spelled "Igigu"), the younger generation of Ancient Astronaut Gods, as their labor force for mining gold on Earth. However, these laborers later revolted against the Annunaki, leading to the eventual replacement of the Igigi with humans.
In the cosmology of ancient Mesopotamia, three domes comprised the heavenly realm. The stars inhabited the lowest dome, the Igigi resided in the middle dome, and An, the god associated with the sky, occupied the outermost dome. Al Worden's perspective finds support in the work of Dr. Ellis Silver, author of "Humans Are Not from Earth: A Scientific Evaluation of the Evidence." Dr. Silver asserts that life on Earth may have been catalyzed by extraterrestrial beings thousands of years ago.
According to his theory, humans should have been the most dominant species in the universe, yet our mortal bodies are ill-suited to Earth's environment, vulnerable to sunlight, natural disasters, and diseases. Dr. Silver contends, "Mankind is supposedly the most highly developed species on the planet, yet is surprisingly unsuited and ill-equipped for Earth's environment: harmed by sunlight, a strong dislike for naturally occurring foods, ridiculously high rates of chronic disease, and more." He concludes that humanity did not originate from the indigenous life forms on Earth but rather evolved elsewhere and was transplanted to our planet as fully developed Homo sapiens between 20,000 and 60,000 years ago.
